The annual South West School of Swimming Development residential course is to take place at Bryanston School in Blandford from 12-18 August 2018. The course is open to swimmers 11 years of age and over at 31 December 2018 and there is no upper age limit on participation. Emphasis of the week is stroke technique and a Team GB swimmer will be in attendance on two days of the programme to work with all the swimmers. There will be specialist lectures in sport psychology, physiology and nutrition, as well as land conditioning and team building. Contrasting activities such as archery, squash and badminton will also be provided as part of the programme. Closing date for applications is 25 May 2018 and cost for the week £400.
