<item><title>Vacancy - Head Coach</title><description>Bridport Barracudas SC is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic voluntary Head Coach to lead our dedicated team of coaches and teachers. Based in the Dorset market town of Bridport, we are a well-established club with around 200 swimmers ranging from beginners to County standard and are ambitious in our plans to offer the maximum possible opportunity to all our members. The Club is also currently working towards Swim21 accreditation.
Applicants should have a minimum qualification of Level 2 Teaching.  Support will be provided to the successful applicant to progress to UKCC Level 2 Coach and/or UKCC Level 3 Senior Coach. All candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills and be ready for the challenge of developing the club further from solid foundations already in place.
Candidates should also have a working knowledge of L.T.A.D.

Finishing the half Iron Man course in a time of 3hrs 54mins, James completed a 1.2 mile swim in 24mins 44secs, a 56 mile bicycle race in 2hrs 6mins followed by a 13 mile run in 1hr 19mins. With 149 athletes competing in his age group (30-34yrs) James was some five minutes ahead of his nearest rival and also emerged as overall fastest from all age groups where a total of 1457 athletes started the course. 

A separate event for professional tri-athletes was held at the same time and James, who has a full time job in local government in Poole, would have finished 22nd in that competition.
